after 2 years, 7 months of growing out my dome, i sporadically decided to cut my hair to make it into a fully functioning mop. a 16 inch high grade organic, biodegradable mop. i will be placing it on ebay, sold to the highest bidder.

100 mph winds were recorded in Mendocino county, the barn shook violently. I thought surely the barn roof would blow off. I had some wild vivid dreams. I didn't sleep all that well. I played Risk (the boardgame) with my brothers. I read. I watched movies with the help of a generator. I warmed my butt by the fire. I ate soup. I observed nature in full force.

The power came back on today. I seriously felt saddened. It was a chaotic, yet, peaceful change of pace from the ordinary.

I like it when the power goes out.

New Year's Eve..

2007 was wild, and we capped it off in a big way. We drove up to Pacific Star winery and indulged in a little bit of wine tasting. Mike said the wine tasted like wood. I was sick to my stomach all day and the wine temporarily made it feel better. But then we went to the brewery and ate oysters, clams, nachos, and garlic fries at the Alpha table while the Omegas sat at another table, envious of our obvious status. The meal didn't help my stomach. I passed out at 11, and awoke at 12:30 feeling incredibly sick. I walked down to the window and projectile vomited out my window, meanwhile everyone else was enjoying in fireworks at the house. I felt like death. I went back to my bed and felt hot, then cold, then hot, and so on..

Maybe I'm allergic to shellfish, maybe I had the flu, or maybe I was drunk. Either way I am happy to be alive in 2008. Happy New Year.
