With the arrival of the first serious storm, it finally clicked that summer truly is over. It's a sad thing to see go. Out with beers as cold as the Rockies and in with ones as dark as molasses. No more bronzed babes in bikinis, or cold refreshing showers in the creek. Batten down the hatches and secure the firewood. Shits about to get cold. Rip up the hot peppers, tomatoes and eggplant, and plant the garlic, cabbage, and broccoli. Put away the short board, and grab that gun for the fall swells. Goodbye watermelons, hello pumpkins.. I just now am starting to hear the pitter-patter of raindrops falling on the roof. Bring it on.. Goodnight.
